About our products
Harris Tweed Collection
Products in our Harris Tweed Collection are designed and made in Canada using Harris Tweed, and full-grain Italian leather.
Harris Tweed
Harris Tweed is the only fabric in the world that is governed by its own Act of Parliament. By law it must be made from 100% pure virgin wool, dyed, spun and finished in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, and then hand woven by the islanders in their own homes; only then can the fabric receive the famous Orb trade-mark that accompanies the tweed.
Since its founding in the 19th century Harris Tweed has been synonymous with quality. Today it is acclaimed as a completely natural product, made locally, by local people and its carbon footprint is negligible.
We have taken this ancient hand woven fabric and combined it with full-grain Italian leather in innovative designs to produce a product, which will make you look and feel terrific anywhere, at anytime.
How should I look after my bag?
Your bag is a natural product and will age more gracefully if you resist the temptation to sully it with synthetic products. If you live in a particularly dry climate you may apply a good quality leather conditioner to the leather once a year taking care not to mark the tweed, otherwise leave it alone. If it gets wet simply stuff it with old newspapers and let it dry out naturally away from any source of heat. Wipe off minor spills with a damp sponge, and allow the resultant water-mark to dissipate from both the tweed and leather on its own.
